Mathieu Joseph’s remarkable skills come from his athletic parents. His father, Frantzi, was also an Ice hockey player.
The earliest memory of Mathieu’s childhood was watching his father’s hockey game on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by his mother and brother.
After the game, Frantzi would take his son to the locker room, where Mathieu got his motivation to be an ice hockey player.
Mathieu’s father grew up in a tough neighborhood with his four brothers and a mother.
After getting married to his wife, France Taillon, he had a family of his own.
The family loved playing hockey outside on the ice, where the father taught his sons about different techniques.
With assistance from his father, Mathieu and his brother started figure skating.
But it wasn’t their calling, so after three years, they left it.
His father influenced Mathieu’s journey to be an athlete, but his academic influence came from his mother.
While growing up, his mother made him read, which later helped him focus and understand the game better.
Even though Mathieu’s parents influenced him differently, he is thankful for how they brought him up.
Mathieu Joseph’s Parents Are Entrepreneurs
Apart from playing ice hockey, Mathieu’s father worked as a travel agent and mortgage broker.
It is unclear why he didn’t choose to play professionally, but one thing is certain: He also found success as a travel agent and mortgage broker.
Frantzi embarked on his journey as a travel agent in 1996, the same year he opened his first venture, Frantzi Voyage Inc.
Later, he worked at Vacances Michel Demers as a Travel Advisor in 2015.
Besides that, Frantzi also worked as a mortgage broker from June 2001. His first company was Multi Prets Hypotheque, where he worked for the next 14 years.
Later, in February 2015, he joined Dominion Phoenix Mortgage Center. For the next eight years, he worked hard to become one of the company’s best mortgage brokers.
Currently, he only looks after freelance projects and enjoys his retirement.
Despite finding success in his career, the former ice hockey player hasn’t forgotten his roots.
Frantzi likes to volunteer whenever he is free in his native country, Haiti.
