Yes, you heard it right. Milan’s father, Nick Momcilovic, never played basketball professionally but was an athlete during college.

Nick played volleyball during college, which made him understand how competition increases after high school.

While growing up, Nick realized Milan had the attitude of an athlete. So he introduced different sports to his son.

Among all the sports, the future IOWA shooter was exceptional in baseball, volleyball, and basketball.

Later, Milan became more focused on basketball, and his father knew what he needed to do.

Nick knew the young baller would not succeed in basketball if he only focused on the post position.

So he made sure his kid learned how to shoot from deep. Nick’s then-coach helped him improve his shooting form, and his father started studying the fundamentals of basketball.

After hours in the gym, Milan would come to his dad, and they would make minor adjustments to Milan’s game together.

It eventually improved his game to such an extent that he is now one of the most trusted shooters on the IOWA team.

Milan Momcilovic’s father, Nick, is originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin. He studied engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1991.

After completing his studies in 1996, he worked as an International Compliance Project Engineer at Underwriters Laboratories.

After three years of hard work, he worked at QuadTech as a Product Safety Engineer in 1999.

Then, after 8 years, he landed his current job as Regulatory Engineering Leader at G.E Healthcare.

Like his father, Milan’s mother, Zorica Momcilovic, also attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Zorica studied Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from 1992 to 1997.

Then, she worked as an elementary teacher at Milwaukee Public Schools from 1997 to 2001.

After that, she worked as a fourth-grade teacher at Whitefish Bay School from 2001 to 2003.

Currently, she is a part-time worker at Oconomowoc Area School District as a Math Interventionist.
